What happens when you sponsor a child?

When you sponsor a child, you agree to make a regular contribution each month, which is fully tax deductible. You'll receive a photograph and details about your sponsored child. You'll also receive a yearly update to let you know how your child is progressing.
Sponsorship can also be the start of a real special relationship between you and your sponsored child
in a way of sharing the challenges of community development and Uganda as a country while permitting the sponsor to see how his/her money is making a difference to the life of an individual child, family, community and their country at the same time enabling the sponsors to realize the excellent fruits of their work You can write to your child and if they don't understand English, a Helping hand Foundation staff member will translate your letter into their language. This staff member will also translate the letters your sponsored child sends you into English, so you can read them.

When you sponsor a child, you provide

As a sponsor, you will help provide a child with:
• Basic needs of life and formal education based on a christian tradition.
• With a descent and comfortable classroom that will enhance a condusive study environment.
• Nutritious food that provides the child with a balanced diet and meet the mental and physical needs of the children.

• His or her own bed.
• Warm clothing to protect the child from the cool weather conditions of their area.
• First-class medical care to enable the child to live a healthy life.
• Concerned staff, giving daily care so as to meet the personal needs of the child.
• Quality education, either through Helping Hand Foundation schools or locally available ones.

and most importantly...a Sensitive introduction to Christ through the daily demonstration of the power and love of God.
