Child Sponsorship Programme.
Many children affected by poverty feel unloved and useless. YOU
can become a vital part of their lives. For just USD 1 per day
you can affect a young child – provide schooling, food and care.
You will receive letters from time to time with an updated photo.
Our office will communicate regularly with you, answering any
questions. USD 30.00 per month will adequately support a child
and USD 50.00 per month will support a whole family. We hope that
as you see the faces of children and families waiting for help,
you too will be moved with compassion. When you decide to sponsor
a child you would have agreed to make consistent monthly contribution
and the letters for the children that come along will easily be
translated in case the child it is addressed to does not know
English. You'll receive a photograph and details about your sponsored
child. THEY NEED YOUR CARE!
Sponsorship overview!
Millions of children face danger every day.
• 1 million live on the street
• 0.3 million are war orphans
• 1 million are AIDS orphans
• 0.1 million new children are exploited each year
1 million will die this year, mostly from preventable causes
Unfortunately, Uganda is one of the poorest countries
in the world and can do very little to help these orphans, charitable
organizations seem to be the only avenue of support. On an average
day, we receive more than 40 requests to attend our schools, but
our resources are so limited that we turn almost all of them away.
Some come repeatedly to our door, hoping we will be able to find
a place for them
The programme is operated on one hectare of land
in both schools and are headed by compassionate professional headmasters
who are assisted by ten dedicated teachers in each school. The
schools operate classes from Nursery to primary seven.
Our orphanages cater only for orphans who are victims
of AIDS plague. We provide only the basic needs of life and a
formal education based on a Christian tradition. Our school facilities
are supposed to accommodate 116 orphans and 60 paying pupils for
a total of 176 students. However, The number of students is limited
by our facilities.
